Privacy and cookies

The short version
- You don't need an account, and Piste Picker doesn't ask for your name, email or payment details.
- Your search settings and saved searches are stored only in your own browser. They aren't sent to us.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
- When you follow a link to another company, their privacy policy applies from then on.
Who we are
Piste Picker is run by SeasonWiseGo, a trading name of Craig Owen, in the UK. We are the data controller for any personal information described here. Contact: admin@seasonwisego.com.
What's stored on your device
To remember your choices, Piste Picker stores a few items in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you share them yourself.

These are only used to provide features you ask for, so they don't need your consent. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Trip codes are created in your browser and contain only your search settings. Anyone you share a code with can open those settings. We don't store trip codes.
Cookies
Piste Picker itself doesn't set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from attacks.
If we add visitor statistics, we'll use a service that works without cookies, and we'll update this page.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic details of your browser and requests, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it downloads them.
Our lawful basis for both is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Links to other companies
Piste Picker links to flight, accommodation, equipment hire, lessons, transfer, car hire and insurance sites. When you click a link you leave Piste Picker, and that company's own privacy and cookie policies apply.
Some links are affiliate links. The company or affiliate network, such as Awin or Stay22, may use cookies to record that you came from us so they can pay a commission if you book. We receive reports of clicks, bookings and commission, but these don't include your name, email or payment details. Read how we make money.
If you email us
We use your email address and message only to reply and deal with your request. Our email is provided by Google. We keep emails only as long as needed, and no longer than 24 months. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message.
Where your data is processed
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK's approved contract clauses or adequacy decisions.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or stop using it. Email admin@seasonwisego.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (0303 123 1113). We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children
Piste Picker is aimed at adults planning holidays. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use information, for example by adding visitor statistics or advertising, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
